Welcome to CISTI Lab
CISTI Lab is an experimental site for demonstrating and evaluating web-based experimental applications for science libraries and new innovations and approaches to electronic publishing. It is a place for NRC-CISTI to demonstrate prototypes, collaborate with researchers within NRC as well as universities, libraries, publishers, and the private sector, and to obtain feedback from early adopters.

| Sarkanto - provides an elementary search engine for a Scientific Technical and Medical (STM) digital library portal that generates recommendations that are based citation-patterns (using Synthese) or user-preferences (using ExLibris 'bX'). Sarkanto indexes ~ 7 million articles spanning 2,750 journals that contain 4.3 million references and generates ~ 1.9 million recommendations.
